How to join
The national project page explains that each kitchen runs through local mutirões with residents, MTST members, and partner movements. The Maceió article says the Tereza de Benguela kitchen has operated since 14 December 2019 with donations, market partners, and later federal food programmes. The page does not list a single national phone line for this kitchen: use the project contact section to reach organisers.
Why it matters in Maceió
Shared pots keep families fed while neighbours swap skills beyond the stove. When public food security lagged, the kitchen stayed open through community labour and structured programme support.
