Mission Reuse: shared reusable cups for carnival in Noord-Brabant

Carnival cups that come back

Mission Reuse, a coalition coordinated by Fair Resource Foundation, built a shared knowledge network with Noord-Brabant province to facilitate reusable cup systems during carnival: one of the highest-waste events in the Dutch calendar. The network connects municipalities, carnival associations, and cup-washing services, so every participating town can access a shared reuse infrastructure rather than buying into it individually.

Where

  • Noord-Brabant province, Netherlands (carnival route municipalities); approximate pin at regional centre

How to participate

  • Carnival associations in Noord-Brabant: contact Fair Resource Foundation to join the Mission Reuse network and access the shared cup logistics
  • Municipalities: ask your carnival organising committee whether they are connected to the Mission Reuse knowledge network
  • Visitors to carnival: return your reusable cup at designated collection points
