A Sunday walk on 18 October 2026 began just before 17:00 at a café pop-up on Torstraße 94, with free coffee before the steps. People came alone or in small groups, and wheelchair users took part.
What you can do in Berlin
- Join the Sunday walk that has run each week since mid-May 2026 (Evangelische Zeitung: a Sunday with the Berlin walking club)
- Aim for about 10,000 steps. The 18 October walk was about 8 kilometres and about two and a half hours
- Start with free coffee, water, and an isotonic drink. A DJ played at that café pop-up
- Collect a sweater printed Sunday Spazier Club if it is at least your third walk, as that report describes
How to join
Hundreds of people have walked each Sunday. The first walk drew about 300 people. The 18 October report counted about 570. The route that day moved toward Alexanderplatz, then along Frankfurter Allee, and ended at Warschauer Straße. A 22 July report says later routes are often chosen late. Past walks went onto Tempelhofer Feld and through Tiergarten. That July report also says a family version takes place, and that people sign up on the organiser website. It does not print that web address.
Why it matters in Berlin
You can show up without running shoes and still spend a Sunday afternoon with neighbours. The July report quotes the organiser: the walks should stay free. The October start offered free drinks before the group moved off.
