Lifemates Leipzig, the group once called Spazierclub Leipzig, still centres its weekends on a walk. The meeting point is announced before each walk, and you need to register.
What you can do in Leipzig
- Register for a weekend walk. An October city guide says the walks are free (Puls Leipzig: Lifemates)
- Watch the host page for the next date. The Luma profile shows 18 hosted events since June 2026 (Lifemates Leipzig on Luma)
- Wait for the meeting point. The guide says it is announced before the walk
- Look for extra offers in the winter months. The same guide says more than walks are planned, while the walk stays the focus
How to join
The October guide says registration is required and the walks are free. It also says the Sunday walks led to many friendships, which is why the name became Lifemates. A July report describes one walk of about 150 people on Karl-Heine-Straße, with people from across Leipzig and from Halle and Zwickau. That report says there is no age limit, and that you need a phone so you can follow the updates. Some people that day continued to a café or a meal after the walk. Treat Karl-Heine-Straße as that July scene, not as a standing start.
Why it matters in Leipzig
You get a weekend plan that is simple: walk, talk, and maybe stay for a coffee. The club has kept the walk at the centre while the name grew with the friendships.
