Walk the lower Neckar floodplain with AUN
The alliance names six nature reserves along the lower Neckar, including Altneckar Heidelberg-Wieblingen. Site walks (Begehungen) are how neighbours learn dam care, flow, and floodplain mosaic on the ground.
What you can do
- Watch the AUN page for the next announced walk
- Meet the group at the listed reserve rather than inventing your own path
- Bring binoculars if you have them: kingfisher and great-crested grebe are regular floodplain neighbours
How it works
Walks are announced with the monthly programme. This is not a standing weekly shift.
When & where
Seasonal / by announcement. Approximate pin on the Heidelberg Neckar meadows (Neuenheim riverside): 49.4146, 8.6925. Confirm the reserve and meeting point with AUN.
Why it matters
Seeing the floodplain on foot turns a policy alliance into a place you can care for.
