FOSDEM 2027 opens 30 January 2027 at ULB Solbosch - plan a weekend of devrooms and hallway demos in Brussels.
What you can do in Brussels
- Download the schedule from fosdem.org/2027 when published
- Pick two devrooms outside your comfort zone to learn adjacent stacks
- Bring stickers and business cards only if you enjoy hallway networking - no sales tables in devrooms
How to join
Main conference is free on the source page. Arrive early Saturday for popular rooms. ULB Solbosch is reachable by tram and bus from Gare du Midi.
When & where
ULB campus du Solbosch, Brussels (50.8125, 4.3816). Anchor start 30 January 2027, 07:00 UTC for opening weekend; Sunday 31 January continues per organiser.
Why it matters in Brussels
Showing up in person keeps FOSDEM's volunteer culture alive and gives newcomers faces to match IRC nicks.
On the day
Arrive ten minutes early to read house rules at the door and greet a volunteer before seats fill.
Good to know
- Is there food on campus? Kiosks and nearby cafés fill quickly; pack snacks.
- Can I live-stream? Official streams cover main tracks; devrooms vary - ask room managers.
