40C3 begins 27 December 2026 at Hamburg Messe - four days of congress halls, assemblies, and late-night project demos.
What you can do in Hamburg
- Buy an official CCC ticket when sales open (40C3 infos)
- Submit assembly ideas on the congress wiki before December
- Pack a power strip and earplugs - halls get loud and crowded
How to join
Ticket required. Wristband checks at Messe entrances. Read the code of conduct and medical info on events.ccc.de before you travel.
When & where
Hamburg Messe, Messeplatz 1 area (53.5541, 9.9740). Anchor 27 December 2026 opening; congress runs through 30 December per organiser.
Why it matters in Hamburg
Congress ticket revenue and on-site volunteering keep Europe's open-infrastructure conversations independent of vendor expo budgets.
On the day
Arrive ten minutes early to read house rules at the door and greet a volunteer before seats fill.
Good to know
- Are day tickets sold? Check the ticket shop each year; CCC sometimes offers day passes.
- Where do I sleep? Book hotels early - Hamburg fills for year-end congress.
