Athelney (about 73 acres) is Somerset Wildlands' largest owned plot so far: a Levels stepping stone near the historic island where King Alfred once sheltered. Nature leads; infrastructure stays minimal.

How it works
Hands-off management lets wetland and grassland processes recover. Plot sponsors receive updates as zones change; members get first invitations to surveys and practical days.
Why it matters
