Join School Solar Outreach in Sfax, Tunisia

Join School Solar Outreach in Sfax, Tunisia ADSS (Association de Développement Solidaire de Sfax) equips public buildings with rooftop photovoltaic arrays and runs school outreach on saving energy and using solar power. What you can do in Sfax - Read how ADSS installed a 3.25 kWp array at Al Mouna primary school, tied to the low-voltage grid (Climate Chance: ADSS Sfax) - Follow ANME work on participatory community PV models residents can join (ANME Community PV workshop) - Volunteer for school workshops on selective waste sorting and renewable energy when ADSS announces them - Ask how mosque and school pilots could repeat the Al Mouna pattern in your neighbourhood How to join Contact ADSS through the association pathways described on partner pages, or watch ANME for citizen solar programmes. School visits are organised with head teachers; do not walk into classrooms uninvited. Why it matters in Sfax Coastal classrooms can host panels that pupils see every day. When children explain solar to parents, clean power feels local instead of abstract. Good to know - Who runs the school install? ADSS co-financed the Al Mouna project with ANME and partners listed on the case study. - Can any school apply? The page describes a pilot model; ask ANME or ADSS how new sites are chosen. - Is this only for experts? Outreach targets pupils and residents; technical work stays with qualified installers.
