Stainless steel replaces single-use in home care
Bordeaux introduced stainless steel dish kits for senior residents receiving home meal deliveries: replacing the disposable packaging that had been standard in social care services. Funded through CITEO's call for expressions of interest, the programme documents a replicable model that other cities with similar meal delivery operations can adopt.
Where
- City-wide, Bordeaux (distributed meal-delivery service); approximate pin at Bordeaux city centre
How to participate
- Seniors on meal delivery programmes: your delivery service may already use the new kits; ask your social services coordinator
- Social care organisations: contact Zero Waste France or CITEO to replicate the stainless steel kit model
- Municipalities: apply to future CITEO calls for expressions of interest to fund similar projects in your city
