Zoersel: Belgium's first Zero Waste Candidate City

A sub-urban commune leading the certification path for Belgium

Zoersel, a sub-urban commune in the Antwerp province, became the first Zero Waste Candidate City in Belgium, working with Fair Resource Foundation under the ZWE MiZA certification framework. Zoersel's candidacy demonstrates that the Zero Waste Cities certification pathway is viable for smaller and sub-urban Belgian municipalities: not just large cities.
